This place is the Asturias region of northern Spain. This wetter and wilder coast has hundreds of slope sites nestled in its 400 miles of coastline. I found this place thru Planet Soaring, where they covered a F3F race held on a unique bluff in the town of Gijon.
If you check out the northern coast in Google Earth, you will see what I mean about endless slopes. This place has wind too, a climate like N. California.
This is the slope I would like to have a summer home near. View a virtual 360 panorama of an insane slope near Niembro beach.
Here is the LINK. There are lots of pano's to check out around this coast. I'm going there someday!!!
Adrian,
Please send me an e-mail at:
pnaton@ptd.net with your contact information.
I have been obsessed the entire day with this area, and I plane to visit and film in a year or so.
I spent most of the day researching the area and am learning so much about this area.

Hi,
My name is Adrian Cuesta, from Gijón - Asturias. Please do not tell anyone about us. Being murphy as it is next summer we might find our slopes and peacefull beaches fullfilled with slopefliers!!!!!!
Anyhow, you are right, Asturias is great place for soaring. We have in less than an hour drive the norhtest point of Spain (with perfect sea slopes at Cabo Peñas) and at the sime time in an hour and a half drive some alpine like soaring spots hard to belive.
Anytime you wish, be my guest.
Regards
Adrián Cuesta
