Spencer Linesby cracked the 400 mph dynamic soaring barrier by going 416 with a 100" span Kenetic. The MARS site in east L.A. was serving up some 50 mph winds, and the record of 396 fell quickly. check out the thread on rc groups: This is an incredible achievement, congrats to Spencer and his team.
They are going to reach point where eyesight can't keep up. I think sweepback wings is the next thing.

That's over mach 0.5, soon they'll be in a flight regime where compressiblity effects become important
