The Radio Controlled Soaring Digest has been a user-driven r/c soaring publication since the 1980's. While the print version ended many years ago, the online version lives on, and this 'zine can be downloaded at their site: RCSD. There are also 20 years of back issues available online. RCSD contains a wealth of soaring history, information, glider building guides, and photos. I've read every issue since 1988, and YOU should be a reader or contributer.
